TOTO’s ELEPHANT SANCTUARY (half day)

Take an exciting half-day trip to an ethical elephant rescue camp located in the lush mountain jungle just north of Chiang Mai. Here, you will learn how to safely approach and engage with the elephants before joining them for a special trekking experience in their natural habitat.

Morning trip: pick up 08.00-08.30 // drop off 14.30

Afternoon trip: pick up 12.30-13.00 // drop off 19.00

Following pickup from your hotel in Chiang Mai City, the drive to the elephant camp is about 1.5 h. On arrival, you will be provided with, and change into, traditional clothing worn by elephant carers (mahouts). Your guide(s) will then give you a briefing for the day and provide background information on the rescued elephants.

Now you are ready for a 40-60 min walk alongside the elephants through their natural jungle habitat. You might also be able to learn and observe the elephant’s life. As the experience concludes, and you say farewell to your new friends, we will drive back to Chiang Mai and drop and you at your chosen hotel.
